is being remembered by family and friends as an adventurer who loved the outdoors.
Greg Rokosh died Jan. 8 when an avalanche came down in the Lizard Mountain range after he and another person split off from a group of backcountry skiers to ski on their own. The other skier was able to get free to dig out the body of Rokosh, who had already died, according to police.

music and dancing and we all loved him for his happy, open minded nature and genuine presence. We will always lovingly remember his infectious smile, laughter and endless pursuit of the last surf, the last ride down a bike trail or the last snowboard run. grown up in Calgary, Rokosh attended St. Mary High School. He would later pursue a Bachelor degree in environmental science from the University of Calgary and work as an environmental scientist at consulting firms,
before becoming an environment and regulatory specialist at Devon Canada Corporation.
