Home teams are now 6 0, all 6 were favorites and covered the spread. The law of averages says that streak won’t continue. Tomorrow features two underdogs, Green Bay and Pittsburgh, that a lot of people think will actually win. At least one of them, if not both is due.

I think we’re looking at New England in another super bowl. I don’t give KC much of a shot at all up there. They don’t have the defense to slow Brady down and they don’t have the offense to keep up. I give Pittsburgh a little better of a chance, but still not a huge one. Pittsburgh’s defense won’t be able to shut Brady down, but they at least have an offense that might be able to put points on the board and keep up for a while.

New England was surprisingly flat, and Brady looked surprisingly human. Honestly, if not for Osweiler, the Texans should have won, and perhaps even handily. He is quite possibly the worst QB I’ve seen in a playoff game. He had no business starting in the NFL, much less a playoff team.

I don’t expect either KC or Pissburgh to have much of a chance against NE. Brady will step his game back up, and Bellichick will shore up the mistakes.

I’m still liking Green Bay today, but I have a feeling about Atlanta overall. Ryan’s had a tough couple of years, but he’s bounced back big time, and they have some serious weapons on offense, and their defense is peaking. This could be a major vindication year for Matt Ryan league MVP, and SuperBowl MVP.

I thought Prescott spiking the ball on that last Dallas drive to kill the clock was a huge mistake. You do that only when there is no other option available; Dallas still had a timeout remaining and they weren’t in four down territory. They essentially left themselves in a position to try and gain 10 yards on just two downs. There was still enough time for them to come down and spike the ball if they wanted to keep using the middle of the field.

That last throw from Aaron Rodgers to Jared Cook was just mind boggling. A 35 yard laser that hugged the sideline thrown across his body. Not too many quarterbacks can make that throw.

I cringed at the last play tonight, knowing that Kansas City would back off and let Ben beat them. It’s Andy’s style! Very sad.
